Formula used

Full years are counted by anniversaries; total days = (comparison date − birth date) ÷ 86,400,000 milliseconds.

Assumptions and limitations

  • Dates use the Gregorian calendar.
  • A date represents the whole calendar day without a time zone.
  • A 29 February birthday is evaluated using normal JavaScript calendar rollover rules in non-leap years.
